Our clarinet course is for any player who wants to play more and better 😊 this year we separate players to group under 15 years old, and group above 15. The younger need an adult accompany, if they wish to prolong their stay during the older class, just ask, we will try to arrange it.

Vitor Fernandes – clarinet ( Portugal)

Vitor Fernandes – Clarinet
Awarded in 2018 with the 2nd Prize at the 73rd Geneva Competition, following his 1st Prize at the 2017 Ghent International Competition, at the age of 28 Vitor Fernandes is recognized as one of the leading clarinetists of his generation.
Vitor started his musical studies at the age of 7 by being part of a small wind band in his hometown in Portugal, a practice that was and still is very common in this country. Since then, he has won over a dozen prizes in National and International
competitions all over the world.
In 2019, Vitor won a trial for the Solo Clarinet position at the London Symphony Orchestra.
Vitor is currently focused on his soloist career, having played as a soloist and with various chamber music groups in places such as Paris, London, Berlin, Geneva, Zurich, Venice, Mexico City, Seoul, Hong-Kong, Taipei, Singapore, Beijing, Dubai, Ljubljana, Sofia, etc.
In 2023, Vitor will be performing throughout Europe, as well as in Japan, Taiwan, Peru and Mexico.
Highlights include an Asian Tour in 2019 with pianist Dmitry Shishkin at the National Concert Hall in Taipei, as well as debuts in Hong-Kong and Singapore and both Mozart and Brahms Quintets at the Queen Elizabeth Music Chapel in 2022.
Passionate about teaching, Vitor has been guest teacher at the National Taipei University of Arts, National Taiwan University of Education, Beijing’s Central Conservatory, School of the Arts Singapore, and teaching in numerous festivals in Portugal, Poland, The Netherlands and México. He has also prepared students that were successful in integrating schools such as the CNSM de Paris, the Royal Academy of Music and the Hochschule Bern.
He has performed as a soloist with the Brussels Philharmonic, Sofia Philharmonic, Kammerorchester Basel, L’Orchestre de Chambre de Genève, Gyor Symphony Orchestra, The Royal Symphonic Band of the Belgian Guides, Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra, The United Nations Orchestra, among others, playing concertos ranging from Mozart and Spohr to Tomasi and Nielsen.
He has also played as a guest member with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, SWR Sinfonieorchester Stuttgart, Bergen Philharmonic and Opéra National de Lyon.
Vitor has recorded for the Portuguese National Radio and Television, Radio Television Suisse, France Musique, Bartók Radio Hungary and National Radio of Slovenia.

In 2018, after finishing his Master’s Diploma at the Haute École de Musique de Genève, he was awarded with the Sih-Woo Cardinaux-Chang prize.
In 2020, he finishes his Diplôme de Soliste with distinction and honors from the jury.

Marek Švejkar – clarinet

Marek Švejkar (1995), the first Czech clarinetist to be admitted to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, laureate of numerous international competitions, grant holder of the Fondation de France, Mécénat Société Générale, Fondation Legs Jabès, The Kellner Family Foundation, former member of the Chamber Music Academy and teacher at the Hudební gymnázium in České Budějovice.

He graduated from the Prague Conservatory in the classes of Ludmila Peterková and Milan Polák and studied for a concert diploma at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional in Paris with Franck Amet and Paul Meyer. He graduated from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris with a Premier Prix in the classes of Philippe Berrod and Jerôme Comte. Little by little he gained experience by participating in a large number of concerts and music competitions, for example Concorso Internazionale per Clarinetto Carlino (IT) – 1st prize; Markneukirchener Wettbewerb (DE) – absolute winner; Competition of Conservatories and Music Schools of the Czech Republic – 1st prize; International Wind Instrument Competition (POL) – 1st prize; Concorso Internazionale per Clarinetto Bari “Saverio Mercadante” (IT) – 1st prize; Clarinet Competition in Hořice (CZ) – 1st prize; Concorso Internazionale per Clarinetto Breno (IT) – 2nd prize. For several years he has specialised in the work of the famous composer/conductor/pianist Pierre Boulez and is currently a postgraduate student.

In 2023 he will perform with the Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra in Ostrava and a few months earlier as part of the subscription season of the Brno Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2022 Marek will perform at the EU summit in Cairo and Strasbourg and give clarinet master classes in Domažlice together with Ludmila Peterková. Since 2022 he has been actively cooperating with Vandoren. In 2019 he was invited to Washington D.C. where he had the honour of performing at the 30th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution and also performed with members of the Karajan Akademie of the Berlin Philharmonic. A year earlier he performed with the Orchestre de Paris and the Ensemble Intercontemporain at the Philharmonie de Paris under the baton of Daniel Harding, Matthias Pintscher and Sakari Oramo. In the same year he became a temporary member of the ECCE Ensemble, which is sponsored by IRCAM. He was also invited to make his solo debut at the Prague Spring Festival, which took place in May 2017 at the Rudolfinum in Prague. He collaborated with soloist Eva Garajová on an album for ArcoDiva and was also invited to record a solo album by Philippe Berrod. In 2015 he was successfully selected as a soloist of the Chamber Music Academy, where he worked until 2020 and in January 2014 he performed as a soloist with the Czech Philharmonic under the baton of Jiří Bělohlávek.

Lenka Korecká – pianist

Lenka Korecká (maiden name Korbelová) was born 11th July 1991 in Chrudim, Czech Republic. Until she was 15 she had been attending piano classes of Věra Nováková at Chrudim elementary music school. She finished her piano studies at Conservatory in Teplice in the class of Věra Vlková in 2012 performing Piano concert no. 2, op. 18 C minor by S. Rachmaninov with North Czech Philharmonic. After she studied piano – Master’s degree at Academy of Performing Arts in Prague with maestro Ivan Klánský. In 2014, she was accepted into the Imola Piano Academy,,Incontri col Maestro´´ in Italy, where she studied with maestro Vovka Ashkenazy.
She has delivered a number of solo recitals, several concerts around the Czech Republic and abroad plus worked as a chamber musician. She collaborated with the world-famous Czech piano manufacturer Petrof and she is a soloist of the international European Youth Orchestra with whom she has performed concerts in Poland and Germany (2010/2011). Back in 2012, together with the North Bohemian Philharmonic Orchestra Teplice, she performed Sergei Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto in C Minor. She has played a range of major piano concertos including those by Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Tchaikovsky and Gershwin (Rhapsody in Blue) with several other orchestras.
At a piano recital held in Liechtenstein Palace as part of the Prague Proms International Music Festival in 2013, she performed compositions by Bach, Beethoven and Chopin. That same year she gave concerts as part of the Young Prague International Music Festival and at the Břevnov Monastery in Prague andd also in Bedrich’s Smetana hometown, Litomysl.
In 2015 Lenka Korecká was invited to perform at a concert celebrating the works of L. van Beethoven at the Municipal Theatre in Most during at which she played two of the composer’s Piano Concertos (No. 2 and No. 4) accompanied by the Festival Orchestra (conducted by M. Peschík). That same year she played the role of pianist in the Chinese movie “Somewhere Only We Know” filmed in Prague.
She delivered a concert together with the clarinettist Marek Švejkar Prague Spring festival 2017 in the Rudolfinum. She has also been invited to Bangkok to perform with the Thai Philharmonic Orchestra.
In collaboration with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra and foundation called Kalkant, Lenka Korecká recorded the first debut solo CD in 2017.
In 2019, Lenka Korecká with Marek Švejkar were invited to the 30th Anniversary of the Velvet Revolution celebrations in Washington D.C., where they had the honor of playing for politically prominent figures. In 2021 they were scheduled to perform at music festivals in Tallinn, Sarajevo and Athens, but due to a worldwide pandemic the concerts were cancelled. The last year they have performed a recital at the Cairo Opera House as part of the Czech EU presidency 2022.
Lenka Korecká has taught several times as a lecturer on piano courses and recorded a live concert for the ČNSO during Covid. This year she’s going to teach at the Pardubice Conservatory.
